Local Mobile Marketing Solutions started out like many other small business—with someone at the helm whose passion it is to help others succeed.
Our Principal, David Ganulin, has over 15 years of experience in marketing, including everything from being a Marketing Director for a non-profit, to working in email marketing with a top tier B-to-B industry firm, to social media, SMS marketing, and more.
Early on David majored in secondary English education and continued on for a Master’s Degree in Teaching, Curriculum, and Development from the University of Rochester. After that, he spent six years in Japan. When he returned to NYC in 2002, he became the Fitness and Outdoors editor at a (now defunct) dot com and ended up a “dot-com casualty” like everyone else in the early 90’s! (Now THAT was a nice “welcome back to America!) 😉 Shortly thereafter, David established the business to business company, www.kettlebellconcepts.com, which marked the beginning of his marketing career.
Fifteen years later, KettleBell Concepts is still doing well. The day to day is now handled by someone else and he’s now working as the CMO of a boutique investment bank. David has since held a variety of positions outside KBC (while somehow managing to keep it running and growing, despite no serious investor capital.) He did all the marketing and PR for himself and helped companies (a lot of them belonging to the Fortune 500) with email marketing and deliverability solutions. He also managed the marketing and public relations department of a nationally known, non-profit dance school.

Dave FINALLY decided to listen to virtually all of his friends who kept telling him, “You definitely need to do your own marketing thing.” Very quietly, over the years, he did. He helped. He consulted. He nudged and cajoled other business owners, regardless of what area they were in. What he didn’t do (until now) was fully commit, make this website you’re now viewing, and go all out. Obviously, things have now changed.
David’s roots in education influence a lot of how the business operates today. We strive to teach our customers while we’re doing marketing for them. This benefits the campaign overall, since the customer knows why we’re doing what we’re doing. It’s a collaborative process we all enjoy.
Honestly, there’s nothing more fun for us than “being in the trenches” with other business owners (veterans or not!) who are eager to market their services.
